Sea freshwater lakes
Sea freshwater lakes is a tourist area
located in the Gayo Highlands, Central Aceh District, Aceh. This lake is the
largest lake in the province nanggroe aceh darussalam. West side of the lake
there is a county town is the city of Takengon, which is also the capital of
the Central Aceh Regency. The extent of approximately 5472 acres with a length
of 17 km and a width of 3.219 km, the water volume of approximately
2,537,483,884 m³ (2.5 billion liters). The air temperature here is around 20
degrees Celsius. There are many different types of animals such as fish depik,
fish can only be found in this lake. There are two hills that flank the lake. At this location visitors can see people
farming and fishing. Commodities grown in the Gayo highlands, among others, is
the Gayo coffee (Coffee arabica), which are well known, potatoes, passion
fruit, tomatoes, peppers, corn, and vegetables. Also on the outskirts of sea
freshwater lakes encountered inn directly opposite the lake, and there is also
a restaurant with low prices. Access to Takengon more easily reached through
the City Bireun. There is a small terminal specifically to Takengon. Alternative
way to Takengon can also be reached via blang kejeren and Kutacane. Running
time approximately 5 hours at a cost of approximately Rp. 25,000. Available
single motor boats used to carry passengers to sea surrounding freshwater
lakes. The lake is the source of water used by communities in Central Aceh
District. Visitors who come to the lake is not in the fees collected. In this
lake we can see the beautiful sunset.
